WHy o why do i meet the craziest people on jobs? i feel like Joan of Arcadia
you know what i hate the most in life?
people who try to MAKE you follow them in opinons. couple of days ago there was this woman who was talking about gay marriages right? she went up to me at the bus stop and started talking to me saying gay marriages were a sin and homosexuals would soon be punished in hell. since she was a stranger, i just ignored her, hoping she'll go away. but she didnt and started yelling at me asking if i actually agreed with gay marriage and the Mayor. i told her to stop yelling at me and the rest of the people around me. she started screaming saying that a Christian {i always have a cross neckalace} should agree with her and that i would go to hell if i didnt. she also said that if i believed in god that what bi/trans/gay/les are doing is destroying the world. remember that i am not even looking at her right now, much less talking to her. luckily the bus came and we were saved from anymore wacky confrontations of an old woman.
on the bus, i started thinking about what she was saying. So I'm straight, i like guys [practically LOVE em ] and am i supposed to be having something against other people unlike me? i had nothing against anybody, i can care less if they are gay or straight. i have nothing against people getting married, either to same sex or the opposite. sure in the bible, in genesis, it said that god made man and made woman his wife but where did it also say that it was a sin to be homosexual? and even if there is a place in the bible that says this, why should this affect people? not everybody believes in the same god, also we were born of free will, doesnt that mean we have the right to chose in our lives? this world we live in is too caught up in self image and is not tolerable of things that are not of ourselves. we live in a place and time that is unable [and unwilling] to change its way. some people would say that im just naive and that im not old enough to understand and maybe thier right. i dont know and wouldn't know. but all i know that we dont all have to think alike so instead of me saying that the woman is wrong and that i am right or vice versa, im going to leave you at this....
what would you do if the world was against something you believe in? would you take a stand or just let it flow?
im gonna have to say, let it flow and hope for the best.
wow thats got to be the Most serious post yet. but its been really lingering in the back of my mind for a while. and NO i didnt miss my stop.
